The Wastelands: a vast, inhospitable desert teeming with monsters and beasts that terrorize its inhabitants. Two cities, Lotheria and Fennmont, are locked in constant competition over a divine gem known as the Heart of Cythrai. Ten years ago, the region was struck by a massive earthquake, tearing the land apart and creating a deep chasm known as The Rift. Thousands perished in the disaster, falling into the abyss. Lotheria was particularly devastated as it was split in two by the quake.
